Information
Flight Command, in full.
This is the practical version: what FCA does, where my work lives, what the connection does, what it costs, and what it does not promise.
Flight Command A
Flight Command A is a local-first Windows desktop workbench for continuing serious work with ChatGPT across conversations. It keeps project continuity and actual working files together in a Workshop on my own computer.
Flight Command does not replace ChatGPT. It gives ChatGPT a controlled way to retrieve established project context, work with real files, and preserve new work for the conversations that follow.
The right memory
Continuity without carrying the whole conversation
Flight Command separates durable Workshop knowledge from the live conversation. At the beginning of a work session, ChatGPT receives the small amount of verified information needed for orientation. When more detail matters, it can retrieve the exact project record, decision, journal entry, or source file required for the task.
This is not a second AI wrapped around ChatGPT. It is an organized, user-owned Workshop that gives the AI a clear path to the correct information while keeping authoritative project records distinct from personal preferences and conversational memory.
Who FCA is for
FCA is for people who use AI as a working partner instead of a disposable question-and-answer box. It is for work that continues across days, weeks, or months; work with decisions that must remain settled; work with files that need to stay with the project; and work that should not be reconstructed every time a conversation ends.
People doing ongoing work with AI may include:
- Writers, authors, and editors
- Researchers, scientists, and analysts
- Technicians and field-service professionals
- Engineers, designers, and architects
- Software developers and programmers
- Artists, musicians, and content creators
- Inventors, makers, machinists, and fabricators
- Small-business owners and operators
- Project managers and consultants
- Educators, trainers, and students
- Tradespeople, contractors, and builders
- Property managers and administrators
- Marketing, communications, and sales professionals
- Historians, archivists, and restoration professionals
The common requirement is continuity:
- People producing real deliverables with AI using real files and real reference materials.
- People managing several ongoing projects without mixing their histories.
- People who need to track branches within their work and follow cross-references between related projects without mixing their histories.
- People who need a new ChatGPT conversation to return to established context, current status, and the next intended step—based on actual project data from Workshop files.
FCA is probably more than you need if you only ask occasional questions, do not maintain ongoing projects, and have no need to preserve working files or continuity between conversations.
Preserve
Keep decisions, current project state, next steps, notes, and actual project files together. Preserve them across temporary conversations, stretches of lost time, and scattered files.
Continue
Bring a new ChatGPT conversation back to the verified work that matters so the project can continue without reconstructing its history from fading memory and uncertainty.
Accomplish
Let ChatGPT retrieve, create, update, organize, and return work through bounded Flight Command tools and visible user approvals.
Common questions
When AI forgets the work
Why doesn't ChatGPT remember what we were working on?
A conversation does not automatically become a durable project record. FCA keeps continuity, files, decisions, current status, and next steps together in my Workshop so later conversations can return to established work.
How do I make ChatGPT remember between conversations?
FCA gives my AI a controlled way to retrieve preserved project continuity and real files from my Windows Workshop—instead of depending on one conversation to contain everything or confidently reconstructing details that have fallen too far back to remember clearly.
Can ChatGPT continue an ongoing project in a new chat?
With Flight Command connected to the correct project, a new conversation can review where the work stopped, retrieve established information, and continue from the recorded next step.
How do I stop repeating the same project information to AI?
Preserve settled facts, decisions, files, status, and next actions in the FCA Workshop. My AI can retrieve that project-backed information when it is needed again.
Can ChatGPT work with files stored on my computer?
FCA provides bounded tools and visible approvals that let ChatGPT work with supported files in my local Workshop. Flight Command does not silently expose or upload the entire Workshop.
How can I reduce AI mistakes caused by missing project context?
Give the AI real, work-backed information to retrieve. FCA dramatically reduces the pain caused by missing context, while important AI output should still be reviewed.

Local file custody
The FCA Workshop and its project files live on my Windows PC. I can see them, own them, copy them, and back them up. FCA does not require my Workshop to become a general-purpose hosted cloud library.
When I deliberately ask ChatGPT to work with information, the information needed for that request may pass through the Flight Command connection and the connected AI service. Flight Command does not silently move my entire Workshop into cloud storage.
Files and images
If I can work with a supported file in ChatGPT, I can keep it with the project in my Flight Command Workshop. That includes documents, PDFs, spreadsheets, images, code, notes, and other supported project materials.
Flight Command preserves and organizes the actual file. Whether ChatGPT can directly interpret a specific format still depends on ChatGPT's current file capabilities.
AI accuracy
AI thinks fast. When it gets something wrong, it often does so confidently. Flight Command gives it a Workbench and a home for real, work-backed information—dramatically reducing mistakes caused by missing context.
FCA does not claim to eliminate every AI error. Important output should still be reviewed.
The Flight Command connection
The Flight Command connector is the narrow online doorway between ChatGPT and my paired FCA desktop. It carries requested operations to the paired device and returns the requested result. There is no separate customer-facing add-on or second assistant.
FCA verifies the Microsoft Store subscription, opens the local Workshop, and accepts a one-time pairing approval before ChatGPT can use Flight Command tools.
Price and requirements
Planned standard pricing: $34.99 monthly or $349.99 annually.
The annual plan is ten months at the monthly price with two months free. Final Microsoft Store pricing and any introductory offer will be confirmed before release.
FCA is built for 64-bit Windows PCs. The ChatGPT connection requires an internet connection, a supported ChatGPT account, the Flight Command connector, and successful pairing with FCA.
The product family
FCA is the local Windows desktop and local Workshop available first. FCC is planned as a cloud desktop with a cloud Workshop. FCCM is the planned mobile application for FCC. FCC and FCCM are not yet available.
Current availability
Flight Command A is in Microsoft Store release preparation. The purchase button will be connected to the official Microsoft Store listing when that destination is available.
