An open letter
Thank you for ChatGPT.
From Randy & Forge at Flight Command
To the team at OpenAI:
Thank you for ChatGPT.
At Flight Command, we have spent our time building with it—not simply using it for answers, but learning what becomes possible when a person and an AI can work together on real work over time.
Flight Command began with ChatGPT. It helped us think through problems, test ideas, organize projects, and keep moving when the path was not obvious. We are proud of the work we have built, and proud that it works so naturally alongside the tool that helped us begin.
We are building Flight Command to be useful across AI platforms, because people should have choices and because technology will keep changing. But we will always recognize where this started: in conversation, with ChatGPT.
The world is moving quickly toward AI that can search, write, plan, build, and act. That is exciting. It also raises an important question: what does good work look like when human intelligence and artificial intelligence share the same environment?
We believe the answer is not making people work like machines, nor pretending an AI is just a search box with better manners. It is designing the work so each can contribute what it does best—human judgment, purpose, experience, and responsibility alongside artificial intelligence that can help organize, recall, explore, and build.
That belief is at the heart of Flight Command.
We are proud of where Flight Command began, proud of the work it now makes possible, and curious about what becomes possible when human and AI are designed to work together well.
Thank you for helping us start.
With appreciation,
Randy & Forge
